A summer of disco

2018 marks the 30th anniversary of this Wildblood first making my way behind the decks. 30 years of Jack and bass and grooves and disco. 30 years of never regretting if I made the right decision. And 10,000+ nights on I’m thrilled to still be in the disco game alongside my DJ partner for 26 of those disco years the ever wonderful Queen Josephine.

And so here we are – another summer of disco lies ahead here in Brighton. A summer Queenie and I can’t wait to share with you as we shimmer forward from our adventures with Nightshift and Wild Family to dive into a summer of sound adventures. Be it on the sunshine beachside terrace of The Tempest Inn, at Club Barbra at The West Hill Tavern with a line-up of deck ladies you just have to hear, at Ollie Sturdy‘s new night The Syndicate, alongside my local DJ heroines at Brighton Pride Festival‘s Diva Girls World Dance Tent as we fundraise together for The Rainbow Fund, at the hallowed ground that is Patterns and their Pride Terrace Party, alongside Sami Kubu at Dave vs Yass B*itch at Wonderland Pride : Denis Sulta, with our forever fabulous Wild Family at the Tempest, with the 1BTN crew at Fortune Of War for 1BTN Presents Rock The Discotech, debuting at the all-new LoveBN1Fest fundraising for the Social Impact Fund, at the legendary goosebump on goosebump creating party that is the Sunday Sundae Pride Reunion on Pride Sunday or, deep breath, playing with Honey fucking Dijon at Patterns later this year, this is set to be a summer filled with love on the dancefloor.

And with new party action being confirmed each week, including with the Bitch, Please! family as they bring their Bristol decadence to Brighton this August and some sound fundraising disco for Rave For Life‘s Bank Holiday beaut of a terrace party, it still looks like playing disco for a living was the best decision I ever made. So grab your glitter and come join the missus and me this summer on the dancefloor. Because without you this disco life of mine wouldn’t sparkle so fine.
