Home Service LGBT+ History Month Specials on RadioReverb

Celebrate LGBT+ History Month with two special Home Service shows on Brighton’s community radio station RadioReverb.

Expect plenty of dance floor memories as Wildblood & Queenie delve into our glorious queer past and play tracks reflecting the 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in 1967. Expect soul, funk, disco house and plenty of camp banter (with added Polari!) as we remember dance floors past and the communities that helped make them a vital part of our shared Brighton histories.

With tracks by The Supremes, Dyke & The Blazers, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Sylvester, Donna Summer, Village People, Soft Cell, Ce Ce Peniston, Ten City, Coco, Steel & Lovebomb, Inner City, Kings of Tomorrow, Solu Music, Celeda, Ministers De-La-Funk and many more, we’ll be reliving those nightclub moments that made us the community we are today.

Be it with diva’s, disco kings or house gods, Wildblood & Queenie’s Home Service LGBT History Specials will be a very personal journey through our Brighton clubbing history from Beacon Royale to Wild Fruit, Shame to Shameless Hussies, Sunday Sundae to Brighton Pride. A journey we’d love to make with you.
