God Save The Queens! Wild Fruit returns 23.04.11

Wintertime and that seafront can be pretty cold and the clubbing a touch less glam than it should be. But then Spring comes and the listings fill up and suddenly that invite comes to an Easter Fruit and all is fabulous again. Finally the winter can be officially waved away as we greet a brand new season of Wild Fruit parties. Decent DJs, fabulous venues and great, great music.

Queenie and I are royally chuffed to be part of the Fruity family this year and there’s just a hint of over excitement about the forthcoming God Save The Queens parties. Saturday 23rd April will see Wild Fruit take over The Honeyclub for a night of Queen fuelled glamour and hedonism with 3 rooms of clubbing soundtracked to perfection by DJ’s HRH Fat Tony, Jonny M, Lil Alex, Brad Dykes (Get Some), Nicole Du Leiburne (Jail Bait) and the legendary Patrick Lilley (Work). All hosted with royal abandon by Chrissy Darling, Fordy Freaktastic and Dolly Rocket! And if that wan’t enough everyone’s favourite afterparty Rebel returns on Saturday night / Sunday morning (24.04.11) at The Haunt with DJ Lee Harris and guests. 4am-late.

Then it’s all over to that Audio for a very special Wild Fruit presents Play Vs Swag On on Sunday 1st May with Queen ‘birthday girl’ Josephine, Mikalis and yours truly delivering plenty of disco of the delightful kind, funk fuelled classic house, Salsoul wonders and soulful grooves to shine on Brighton’s favourite terrace whilst downstairs Lady Bex, Bradt Dykes and Milk Teeth will keep you jumping all night with a danceroom fulla R’n’B, Hip Hop, UK Garage, Grime and Rap. I can feel the birthday champagne hangover already.

So there you have it. Wild Fruit returns. A new season, a sexy outlook and a sweet summer ahead. See you at the (sea)front!
