If it must rain, let it rain down deep house of the finest kind. Here’s a collection of our latest moments of wonder that are soundtracking a glorious, if slightly damp, start to summer 2012.
From the sauced up beats of the wonderful Fissenbassen we then head in Maxxi’s direction for yet another wonder from our fav Brighton boy. The beats get deeper as we work that body with Simpson and cohorts whilst its hard to resist MK’s genius as he gives us a Amirali remix to behold. Alexis Raphel’s retake on Kim English’s classic Nitelife is a permanent fixture in our household with its understated yet solid whoo hooo’s and Scandal keep it Maxxi-tastic and charm the pants of us. Sound In The Air does everything it says on the tin…if you know what I mean…whilst Daveed is (almost) as handsome with the bass as his Brighton namesake. Add the true slice of right proper house that is wAFF and the cheeky sampler that is Huxley and this ain’t no hard work. It’s deep house at its best.
The sun will shine damn it. Let deep house reign.
